The tail end of last night's weather disturbance created some morning rain and thunderstorms, including some small hail, around Hardin to Hysham, and extending east into Rosebud County. As this lifts to the north, drier and warming conditions will follow for the rest of the day.

The Beartooth Pass is open from Red Lodge to the Montana/Wyoming line at this hour, but blowing and drifting snow is preventing the Wyoming side from opening. The Park Service is working on the Wyoming side, but it is not known when it will be reopened. You can access Vista Point on the Montana side, but travelers should watch for intermittent wet spts on the roadway and if temperatures drop these areas can become icy.
