BILLINGS — Hot and dry conditions dominate the week’s weather.
Monday afternoon highs will be particularly hot, with most readings well into the 90s. Tuesday will be slightly cooler, with highs in the mid-80s to low 90s.
Weak disturbances moving through the area both days will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly to the mountains. These storms will dissipate in the lower elevations.
Thanks to the drying and warming conditions and periods of wind Monday, fire weather conditions will worsen over the week.
Highs will stay consistently in the 80s to mid 90s the lower elevations likely through Sunday.

Monday… Sunny and hot with a high near 97. West breeze 5 to 15 mph turns northerly later in the day.
Monday night… Clear to mostly clear with a low of about 61.
Tuesday… Sunny and very warm with a high of around 91.
