The best chance of showers and thunderstorms for most of the area, including Billings, is during the morning hours Friday. Some stronger storms could develop in the eastern plains closer to the Dakotas by Friday evening.
Temperatures will be below seasonal averages with highs mainly in the mid-70s to low 80s. Expect increasing clouds through the afternoon.
Cool overnight with lows in the 50s to around 60.
Saturday will see a quick rise in the temperatures, with a mostly to partly cloudy afternoon. Highs will get the 80s to low 90s.
Again, Saturday could see stronger storms develop east of Billings. These could include areas of heavy rain, gusty winds, and hail from around Forsyth and Colstrip towards the Dakotas.
Sunday will be a transition day into cooler temperatures, with highs in the 70s to mid 80s. Expect most of next week to top off in the 70s, with morning temperatures in the 40s to low 50s.
