BILLINGS — A cold front clears out on Monday, bringing cooler, drier air and breezy to windy conditions, with highs mainly in the mid-80s.
An upper-level ridge builds in by Wednesday, but several weak disturbances paired with slightly elevated atmospheric moisture will keep daily hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms in the forecast through Friday. Thursday looks to be the day that could bring the best chance for strong storms as a bigger push of Gulf moisture moves into the region. Something to keep an eye on.
Highs stay mainly in the mid-80s on Tuesday before a mid-week warming trend pushes temperatures back into the upper 80s to low 90s through Saturday.
Some models indicate a low-pressure trough might move inland and push the ridge off to the east across the weekend. If this pans out, there’s a good chance we’ll see cooler temperatures by Sunday.
