Winter Weather Advisory through Tuesday morning has now taken over much of Southcentral MT and Northcentral WY. This includes Billings, Laurel, Huntley and Sheridan, WY. Expect periods of light snow with dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero.

Avalanche Warnings still in effect until Monday morning for the backcountry on almost all high rated slopes in Montana and peaks along the Idaho and Wyoming borders. Lots of new snow, weak snow-pack and strong winds. Avoid the backcountry if you can.

For everyone, travel could still be very dangerous the next several days. Expect poor road conditions around the region still. Slow down and use caution.

Tonight:

Snow showers and flurries continue as temps drop below zero in many areas.

Again, most of MT and WY will be under a Wind Chill Watch or Warning. Wind Chills could get to 45 below in some areas.

If you can avoid going outside, do it.

Tomorrow (Monday):

Though the cold and wind chills will be sticking with us for a while, most of the snow in our region should be wrapping up by Monday night/early Tuesday morning.

Tuesday - Sunday:

Extremely cold still with temps in the single digits and below zero for most.

Wind Chill will continue to be a factor.
