Total accumulation in and around Billings, 3 to 6 inches.
Some parts of the region like Big Timber could see 8 to 12 inches and Columbus could see between 6 to 8 inches.
NOTE: Travel could be slow going and difficult especially tonight and tomorrow morning.
Downed tree branches could result in power outages.
Slow down and use caution.
Tonight:
Snow will continue throughout the night and into tomorrow.
Cold, with temps into the low 20’s.
Tomorrow (Sunday):
Cold. High temps in the 30’s across much of the region.
Snow showers off and on throughout the day, with the Winter Weather Advisory set to expire at noon.
We may also see snow turn to freezing rain tomorrow night, as temps will be back down in the 20’s and 30’s.
Note: Roads will be slick in the morning and could be tomorrow night as well. So please use cation driving.
Total snowfall through Sunday looks to be around 3 to 6 inches in Billings and over the lower elevations. Higher totals are expected in the mountains (8 to 12 inches in the Beartooth/Absaroka/ Crazy Mountains and 5 to 10 inches in the Pryor/Bighorn Mountains).
Monday – Saturday:
Monday, temps will be in the high 30’s and lower 40’s in the region, with a 60% chance of a rain/snow shower off an on throughout the day.
By Tuesday/Wednesday, we could see temps back into the 40’s and 50’s, but Wednesday night, we could also see a mix of rain and snow again.
Temps will be dropping back into the high 30’s and lower 40’s on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with a 50% chance of snow on Thursday.
