Q2 Weather: Showers and thunderstorms possible through the weekend

BILLINGS — While temperatures trend downward, the chance of rain and thunderstorms go up.

Scattered showers are possible throughout the day, with afternoon and evening thunderstorms popping up here and there. Areas of heavy rain, small hail, and strong winds around storms are most likely in areas from around Miles City, Broadus, and to the east.

High temperatures will be mainly in the 80s to around 90 degrees Friday, and slip mainly to the mid-70s to mid 80s on Saturday. Overnight temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s.

Showers and thunderstorms continue on Saturday and Sunday. Some storms could have areas of heavy rain and small hail in addition to strong wind gusts and lightning.

Monday will be sunny with highs in the mid to lower 80s, then a bit warmer with a mix of clouds and sun for the rest of the week.

Friday… Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. A high of about 89.

Friday night… A chance of evening showers and thunderstorms. Otherwise, partly cloudy with a low around 62.

Saturday… Mostly sunny early with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Near 84 for the high temperature.
