BILLINGS — We will go from cooler than average too much warmer than average temperatures quickly over the weekend.
A cold front moves in to the area Thursday, and a second front on Saturday will hold temperatures back through the early weekend. High temperatures Thursday and Friday will be mainly in the mid 70s to mid 80s.
Temperatures will be cooler on Saturday, dropping into the 70s. Overnight temperatures will be in the 50s for most locations.
Expect scattered, isolated showers and thunderstorms through Saturday, especially in the higher terrain. The chance of strong to severe storms is fairly low.
Temperatures will end up 15 to 20 degrees warmer Sunday compared to Saturday’s highs. Expect highs to stay in the mid to lower 90s Sunday through Wednesday or Thursday of next week.

Thursday… Partly to mostly sunny with a high about 85. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
Thursday night… Isolated area showers during the evening. Cloudy to mostly cloudy overnight with a low near 59.
Friday: Sunny early with isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Around 86 for the warmest temperature.
