BILLINGS — The week ahead keeps the same summer pattern holding.
Overall, temperatures will be slightly cooler Monday compared to Sunday, but still end up in the mid-80s to mid-90s. As a disturbance rotates into the area, storms will form in the mountains and foothills by Monday afternoon and on to the plains in the evening.
Impacts include pockets of heavy rain, possibly some hail, and gusty winds.
Drier air works it’s way into the area Tuesday from Billings eastward, but the mountains and foothills will be see at least some storm activity.
Regionally, expect the 80s and 90s for highs all week with the slight chance of storms continuing. Lows will be in the 50s and 60s.

Monday… Mostly sunny with a light and variable breeze. A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. High of about 93.
Monday night… a 30 percent chance of evening storms. Near 66 for a low.
Tuesday… Mostly Sunny and hot with a high of around 95.
