Man who died in crash near Glasgow identified

GLASGOW — The body of the man who crashed near Glasgow on Tuesday has been identified by Valley County officials.

Adam Wade Nees, 46 died of accidental drowning, according to preliminary reports. Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Charles Tuggles said that Nees was traveling southbound on MT Highway 24 North when he came to the T intersection of MT Hwy 24 South and MT Hwy 42. He then apparently went through a traffic sign, fence, and a field before crashing into the Milk River.

Troopers found the maroon Mazda SUV submerged and barely visible at 8:30 Tuesday morning. According to Trooper Tuggles, both Nees and his dog were found dead on the scene.

The definitive cause of death has not been officially determined, but Tuggles said there were no outside indicators of drug or alcohol use.

MHP and Valley County Sheriff's Office will continue the investigation.
