BILLINGS — Montana's congressional delegation is working to get dozens of Montanans back home who are stranded overseas.

Travel remains uncertain because of the threat of COVID-19, but that's especially true for two Billings area men who are trapped in Argentina, looking for a way out of the country.

Joe La Ve' and his friend Graham Hammond were spending time out of the country traveling.

But La Ve' says, as soon as they heard President Donald Trump's call for all Americans to get back home, he and Hammond started to make plans to do so.

However, the duo was met with endless canceled flights.

La Ve' says he's not quite sure when they'll get home.

"It could be the next 30 minutes we get on a plane and get to Toronto and see from there, or we could be stuck here for a couple days or a couple of months. It’s really up in the air," said La Ve'.

Sens. Jon Tester and Steve Daines of Montana are both working to get state residents back home, including 16 Montanans stuck on a Norwegian Jewel Cruise Ship that recently docked in Hawaii.

La Ve' said he is hoping to catch a humanitarian flight.
