BILLINGS — Thursday evening's storm that quickly railed through Billings caused large trees to fall into power lines, breaking two poles and damaging wire, according to Jo Dee Black of NorthWestern Energy.
About 2,000 customers lost power, mainly in the Heights.
Crews from Hardin, Laurel and Columbus worked with the Billings crew through the night, and by 5:30 a.m. most customers had power restored.
Friday at about 10:30 a.m. there was an outage impacting about 1,500 customers in Billings.
The estimate is for power to be restored about 11:45 a.m.
