Q2 Weather: Wintry Weather Weekend

Winter Storm Warnings are still posted for much of central and western Montana including the Crazies and the Beartooth Absaroka Ranges through Monday evening.

In addition to another 10 to 15 inches of snow in those mountain areas, the Judith Gap area could see 4 to 8 inches of snow and blowing snow through Sunday night.

Winter Weather Advisories are posted for the northeast, as well as west of Billings for portions central and southwest Montana through Sunday night.

Expect occasional blowing snow, lighter accumulations and slippery roads along the area foothills.

For the Billings area north and eastward, more rain is expected through Monday morning. Places like Miles City could see an additional 1.2 inches of rainfall.

The Billings area could see another half-inch or more of rainfall by Monday.

Significant frost, perhaps even a hard freeze is likely early Monday and Tuesday morning for south-central and southeast Montana – including the
Billings area.

Tonight: Cold with a 100% chance of rain, north winds 10 to 20 mph and a low of 37.

Sunday: Chilly with light north winds, a 60% chance of morning rain and snow, changing to rain, and a high of 44.

Sunday night: Colder with northwest winds 10 to 20 mph, a 60% chance of rain and snow changing to snow late and a low of 32.

Monday: Partly sunny, still chilly, a 30% chance of scattered rain showers and a high of 44.
