BILLINGS — Cold Overnight Temps Ahead

The Winter Storm Warnings for central and western Montana will continue into Monday, expiring from the west to the east.

Winter Weather Advisories west and north of Billings will expire Monday as well.

Overall, showers and flurries are tapering off across much of central and eastern Montana. There is a slight chance Sunday evening for isolated thunderstorms in far southeast Montana.

Along with patchy fog across much of eastern Montana late tonight and early Monday, the season’s first significant frost and hard freeze is expected in portions of south central Montana early Monday and Tuesday morning.

Expect a gradual warm up into the mid 50s by Wednesday.

The forecast for Billings

Tonight: Cold with a 40 percent chance of evening showers, northwest winds 10 to 20 mph, patchy fog and a low of 31.

Monday: Partly sunny and chilly, patchy morning fog, light northwest winds and a high of 45.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy and colder with a 20 percent chance of snow showers and a low of 29.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, still chilly, and a high of 44.
