BILLINGS — A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for much of Montana and northern Wyoming on Wednesday morning through Thursday morning.
A powerful winter storm system is moving through the region producing heavy snow, cold temperatures, blowing snow, reduced visibility and poor travel conditions.
The Billings area could see 7 to 9 inches of snow through tonight.
With the wet heavy snowfall, there is the possibility of damage to trees and power lines.
Expect a slippery commute Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Today: Cold with a 100% chance of snow, north winds 10 to 20 mph, patchy blowing snow, up to 7” accumulation and a high of 29.
Tonight: Cold with a 90% chance of snow, another 2” accumulation, light north winds and a low of 16.
Thursday: Partial clearing and cold, a 30% chance of morning snow showers, and a high of 28.
