BILLINGS — On Friday afternoon in the Big Sky, we can see plenty of sunshine in Billings. The temperature is 83 degrees, and the wind is calm in the early afternoon.

Around the rest of the state, the current temps are mostly into the 70s and 80s everywhere we look, and Jordan is already in the 90s.

We do have a Red Flag Warning for the Glacier National Park and the Rocky Mountain front through 9 p.m.

The Billings National Weather Service has canceled the Fire Weather Watch for southeastern Montana for Saturday.

Wildfires will become easy to start and easy to spread and exhibit erratic fire behavior.

The Doppler radar shows a few scattered light rain showers in the southeast corner of the state.

The high-resolution forecast model does show a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms in eastern Montana, basically east of Billings. Some showers will in that area after 6 p.m.

The showers will be moving in from the southwest and coming down off the Beartooth Mountains. They will continue to push their way to eastern Montana as night goes on.

Then for Saturday morning, we are expecting mostly dry conditions again as a weak cold front pushes through the state, but we might see scattered showers and thunderstorms along the state line with Wyoming Saturday evening.

On Sunday morning, mostly sunny skies will stick around into the afternoon, and temperatures will continue to stay somewhat mild.

On Friday night, our temps will cool back down to the 50s and 60s across south-central and eastern Montana.

On Saturday, it's back to the 70s, 80s and a few low 90s with a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms late in the day, along the state line with Wyoming.

We will top out at 84 degrees on Saturday, 87 on Sunday and then get into the 90s next week.
