After a warm but windy Friday, everything changes.

Friday will be the warmest day the area through next week with highs mainly in the upper 50s to around 70. Winds will be brisk regionwide, but especially strong in the wind prone areas close to the mountains.

Gusts near Livingston could reach 60 mph.

A strong cold front moves through overnight creating morning showers from Billings to the west and south through northern Wyoming.

Areas east of Billings will stay drier but everyone gets colder. Morning readings in the 30s and 40s will be the warmest of the day with temperatures holding steady or dropping through the rest of the day.

Billings forecast:

Friday… Sunny with a high near 67. Brisk Southwest wind 15 to 25 mph.

Friday night… Rain likely overnight switching to snow early. Low near 34.

Saturday… Rain and snow, then all snow after 9 AM. High near 37, Some accumulation possible.
