BILLINGS — Heavy rain is possible for the region.

Unsettled weather will bring the potential for heavy rainfall across southeast Montana and northern Wyoming Tuesday evening through Wednesday evening.

Slow moving storms could produce heavy rainfall and gusty winds in the mountains this afternoon, and then across the southern plains this evening and Wednesday.

Except for Wednesday, afternoon highs will remain quite warm through the forecast period.

Today: Partly sunny, a 30% chance of late-afternoon showers and thunderstorms - some thunderstorms could produce heavy rain and gusty winds – light west winds and a high of 93.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, a 50% chance of evening showers and thunderstorms – some thunderstorms could produce heavy rain and gusty winds – light west winds and a low of 64.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, light west winds, a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high of 89.
