As a trough moves into the area from west to east, heavy rain is expected through at least early Thursday. One to 2 inches of accumulation are possible, especially in areas from Billings to the east.

Severe storms will occur from Billings to the south Tuesday afternoon and evening with the potential of hail and gusty winds accompanied by frequent lightning.
