BILLINGS — More thunderstorms and rain are on the way.
Cooler temperatures, rain and thunderstorms are accompanying a slow-moving trough of low pressure across the region.
Sunday afternoon temperatures were 10-to-30 degrees cooler than 24 hours prior.
Waves of occasionally heavy rain will bring up to a total of two inches of precipitation to the region by Tuesday evening.
Warmer and drier weather will arrive by Thursday, just in time for a sunny and hot Independence Day weekend.

Monday: Cool with a 70% chance of rain and thunderstorms, occasionally heavy rain, west winds 5 to 15 mph and a high of 66.
Monday night: Cooler with a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms and a low of 52.
Tuesday: A bit warmer with a 60% chance of scattered rain and thunderstorms and a high of 71.
