BILLINGS — Summer heat returns soon.

Father’s Day was another mix of mild temperatures, clouds, sun, wind and isolated showers.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms will dot the landscape Sunday evening before clearing up later.

A dry and mild weather pattern moves in across the region Monday.

Tuesday and Wednesday will heat up significantly with afternoon highs reaching into the mid 80s to around 90.

The forecast for Billings

Tonight: Partly cloudy, west winds 5 to 15 mph, a 40% chance of isolated thunderstorms then rain showers and a low of 55.

Monday: Mostly sunny and warm, northwest winds 5 to 15 mph, a 20% chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms and a high of 79.

Monday night: Mostly clear and mild with a low of 55.

Tuesday: Sunny and warmer with a high of 86.
