BILLINGS — Cold dominates the weather through Wednesday.
Despite afternoon sunshine mixed with a few clouds, a very cold Tuesday morning start holds high temperatures to the teens to mid 20s. Expect breezy conditions in the mountain foothills and in areas of Northeast Montana.
Brace yourself for another very cold overnight, with temperatures in the single digits above and below zero in many locations early Wednesday. Additional wind chill values will bring bitter cold conditions to the area.
A slight warm-up Wednesday afternoon only pushes readings the mid-20s to mid 30s. That is well below the mid to lower 50s that is average for this time of year.
For Halloween on Thursday, temperatures could rise another 10°. But clouds and wind will both increase, and there is a chance of evening rain and snow showers.

Tuesday… Sunny to mostly sunny with a high near 22. North breeze 5 to 15 mph.
Tuesday night… Mostly clear with a low of about 6. Wind chill values will feel more like 10 below zero.
Wednesday… More sunshine with a high around 32. Southwest wind 10 to 20 mph.
