BILLINGS — The big warmup begins Saturday.

A few more showers and thunderstorms are on the way Friday night, leaving light drizzle and patchy fog early Saturday morning.

Clearing skies and warmer temperatures will bring daytime highs from 67 on Saturday to 80 on Sunday.

With highs well into the 80s Sunday through Tuesday, expect high mountain snow melt and resulting runoff.

The potential for strong to severe thunderstorms is in the forecast for Tuesday.

The forecast for Billings

Tonight: A 60% chance of thunderstorms and rain showers this evening, tapering to drizzle and patchy fog late tonight and a low of 44.

Saturday: Partial clearing and warmer, a 30% chance of isolated showers and patchy fog before noon, light southwest winds and a high of 67.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a low of 45.

Sunday: Partly sunny and much warmer with a high of 80.
