BILLINGS — We go from wet weather Wednesday to potential fire weather conditions by Sunday.
Rain showers will continue through Thursday morning, with the heaviest rain Wednesday afternoon and evening in areas east of Billings. Wednesday afternoon highs will be mainly in the 50s to low 60s.
The mountains are still on track to pick up snow, with 5 to 8 inches in the higher elevations of the Beartooths.
Conditions will dry out and warm-up heading into the weekend. Highs in the upper 60s to low 70s Thursday with showers leaving Eastern Montana during the day.
By Friday and Saturday, highs will get the upper 70s to low 80s, and Sunday could see highs in the mid to upper 80s with low humidity.

Wednesday… Rain showers very likely with a high around 57. North breeze 5 to 15 mph.
Wednesday night… Showers in the evening decreasing overnight. Near 48 for the low.
Thursday… Mostly sunny and breezy. High about 74.
