BILLINGS — It's a pleasant cool down in the Billings area Monday.
Afternoon highs across the region are, for the most part, several degrees cooler than Sunday and cooler than average.
Isolated weak thunderstorms were moving through far eastern Montana Monday afternoon with gusty winds and some pea size hail reported from Lodge Grass to Baker.
Another weak cold front will trigger a few more showers in eastern Montana through Monday evening, but mostly dry and cool weather is expected statewide Tuesday.
Look for a hot day on Wednesday followed by another cool down, and then back to sunny skies and average temps as we head into the Labor Day weekend.
