BILLINGS — Showers to hot afternoons, and then possible severe thunderstorms. And that is just through Wednesday.

Widespread rain showers Friday will lead to a few thunderstorms. Much of the area will pick up a quarter to half-inch of rain, although areas of southeast Montana and Northern Wyoming could see an inch or more through Saturday morning.

Highs Friday will be mainly in the upper 50s to mid-60s. With less chance of rain, northeast Montana could reach to about 70.

Warm and dry conditions start on Saturday and really build in for Sunday and Monday. Highs in the 60s to low 70s Saturday pop to 70s low 80s Sunday and are on track for upper 80s Monday.

A very warm Tuesday will end with the chance of strong to severe thunderstorms.

Friday… Showers likely with a possible thunderstorm. High near 61.

Friday night… Showers and a possible thunderstorm during the evening decreasing overnight. Low about 43. Patchy fog possible.

Saturday… Morning fog possible then mostly sunny. Around 68 for the high.
