BILLINGS — Strong to severe storms will be scattered around the area Monday and Tuesday.
Heavy rain, hail and strong wind are possible with any thunderstorms that develop early in the week. The most favored areas for storms will be in areas from around Billings to the east.
There is some possibility for funnel clouds or even a tornado especially in southeastern Montana for the next couple of afternoons and evenings. The good news is, storms will be very hit-and-miss with only a 20 to 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms across Eastern Montana and northern Wyoming.
Temperatures will be mainly in the 80s Monday with some low 90s in northern Wyoming and mainly in the 80s to low 90s Tuesday. Expect a sunny to mostly sunny afternoon with quickly changing conditions around thunderstorms. Highs will be mainly in the 80s to low 90s Tuesday.
The chance of storms quickly drops off starting Wednesday with mainly dry conditions through the weekend. Highs will edge up from the mid-to-lower 80s Wednesday to the mid-to-lower 90s by the weekend.
