BILLINGS — Rain for some, and thunderstorms for others with a big contrast in temperatures.
Our strong and slow-moving weather system will continue to bring cool and showery conditions, especially from Billings to the west on Monday. Highs will be mainly in the 50s and 60s from Billings closer to the mountains but 70s to 80s across the Eastern Plains.
With a hotter temperatures and Eastern Montana some strong to severe storms could develop Monday evening the chance of damaging wind or hail.
Cooler than average temperatures continue with mainly the 60s and 70s Tuesday and Wednesday with rain showers isolated thunderstorms. Warmer and drier conditions can be expected Thursday and Friday with a few thunderstorms over the weekend.
Billings forecast:
Monday… Rain showers with a high of about 62. A rumble of thunder is possible.
Monday night… Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Around 51 for the low.
Tuesday… A mix of clouds and sunshine with scattered showers or an isolated thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening. Close to 71 for the high temperature.
