BILLINGS — The hot temperatures peak in the next several days.
Sunny and dry conditions are expected each day through Friday. Temperatures will be in the 80s Wednesday afternoon, climbing into the 90s Thursday and Friday.
With low humidity, occasional strong wind gusts and the hot temperatures, fire risk will increase especially by Friday. Recent rains have kept things green enough to avoid severe fire risk, but use caution.
Temperatures will begin to cool back into the 80s over the weekend with isolated showers and thunderstorms through early next week. The current trend is to heat things back up again by the end of next week.
Wednesday… Sunny and warm with a high near 87. Westerly wind 5 to 15 mph.
Wednesday night… Clear with a low around 56.
Thursday… Sunny and hot with a high of about 94.
