BILLINGS — The short term forecast is cool and damp, but the 7 Day Outlook returns to warm and dry.

Patchy fog will continue especially from Billings towards the east Friday evening through Saturday morning. Some snow will also redevelop in southeastern Montana but should not produce much accumulation.

With some cloudiness on Saturday, things start to clear out late Saturday. Winds will increase around Livingston/Big Timber/Nye with gusts of 40 to 55 mph anticipated.

The overall picture is pretty quiet, with temperatures gradually edging upward through midweek. Highs will be mainly 30s on Saturday, up to the mid-40s by Monday, and reach the upper 40s to low 50s Wednesday through Friday.

Lows will move from the 20s early Saturday, Sunday and Monday to the 30s for the rest of the week. Conditions stay mainly dry.

By next weekend, a weather system out of Canada will bring cooler temperatures with the possibility of some snow.

Saturday… Patchy morning fog with a mostly cloudy afternoon. High close to 38. Light northerly wind.
