Q2 Billings Area Weather: Cooler, but only for now

BILLINGS — Much cooler conditions dominate the weather early in the week.

Afternoon highs will be in the mid 70s to mid 80s on Monday and Tuesday. By Thursday and Friday, highs will get the upper 80s to mid 90s.

For Monday, a few morning showers and isolated thunderstorms will turn into more sunshine but breezy in the afternoon. Wind gusts of 20 to 30 mph possible at times through the afternoon with isolated showers lingering across the Montana/Wyoming line.

Overnight temperatures drop mainly to the mid-40s to mid 50s, and Tuesday’s quiet with sunshine and overall a light wind. A few showers could develop through northern Wyoming.

Temperatures will climb for the rest of the week, peeking on Friday in the mid to lower 90s. Expect a slight cool down for the weekend with scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Billings forecast:

Monday… Scattered isolated showers and thunderstorms in the morning. Mostly sunny in the afternoon with a high of about 79. Winds could occasionally gust through the afternoon.

Monday night… Partly cloudy with a low near 54.

Tuesday… Sunny and quiet with a high close to 80. Light West breeze.
