BILLINGS — A mild start to Autumn -

Mostly sunny skies and near average temperatures – in the 60s and 70s - prevailed across the region Sunday, the last day of summer.

Autumn arrives Monday with mostly sunny, breezy and warmer weather.

Monday afternoon highs will climb into the mid to upper 70s in eastern Montana.

Expect more wind Monday night through Tuesday night with gusts up to 40 mph at times.

By Wednesday, another batch of cooler air moves in with increasing showers by Thursday.

Tonight: Mostly clear, a light southwest breeze and a low of 49.

Monday: Sunny and warmer, a light west breeze and a high of 77.

Monday night: Partly cloudy and mild with a low of 53.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with northwest winds 15 to 30 mph in the afternoon, gusting up to 40 mph and a high of 72.
