Q2 Weather: A chilly and wet start to Summer

BILLINGS – A stormy start to Summer.

Although Summer officially begins at 9:54 a.m. Friday, Winter Weather Advisories will remain in place above 6,000 feet until noon.

Area showers and thunderstorms Thursday brought up to 1-inch hail to many locations in central and eastern Montana.

Billings received up to .75 inch hail and 32 hundredths of an inch of rainfall by Thursday evening.

Unsettled weather, including scattered showers and thunderstorms, will linger in the region through Saturday evening.

Daytime highs will stay mostly in the 60s today and Saturday.

The forecast for Billings

Today: Cooler with a 60% chance of rain and thunderstorms, west winds 15 to 25 mph and a high of 60.

Tonight: A 30% chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms and a low of 45.

Saturday: A 40% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms and a high of 64.
