BILLINGS – It doesn’t get much more wintry than this as we start another work week.
Winter Storm Warnings, Wind Chill Advisories and Winter Weather Advisories dot the landscape Monday morning as a major Pacific storm system clashes with cold arctic air over the Northwest.
Snowfall totals will continue to increase through Monday with up to a foot or more of new snow in higher elevations. Sunday evening through Tuesday morning storm totals for the Billings area are expected to be 8 to 10 inches.
Wind chills of -20 to -30, along with falling and blowing snow, will be problematic for the Monday morning commute. Expect school bus delays. Parents should expect to stay with their children at bus stops.
This particular storm system will wrap up late Monday night into Tuesday morning. Another round of snow is expected to move into the region by Wednesday.
