BILLINGS- A brief lull in the snow, and colder temperatures for Thursday.

After some light morning snow showers, breaks of sunshine for the afternoon are expected Thursday. At the same time, temperatures will be noticeably chillier.

Highs will range from the 30s in the mountain foothills and northern Wyoming, to only the single digits in the Eastern plains. Near Billings and the surrounding counties, expect highs to be in the teens and 20s.

Another round of snow moves in this evening and overnight. Snow showers will move from West to East across the region, with lingering snow in Eastern Montana Friday.

The high elevations could expect a foot of new snow, with 2 to 5 inches from Billings to the West. Expect only light accumulations in the Eastern plains diminishing towards the North Dakota border.

Weather continues to be unsettled over the weekend with colder than average temperatures. Expect highs mainly in the 20s Friday and Saturday around Billings.
