BILLINGS – Temperatures briefly take a little turn upward but plenty more cold is on the way in the coming days.

High temperatures Friday from around Billings and Hardin to the west will be into the teens to mid-20s. Expect a mix of clouds and sun, with temperatures only in the single digits to teens across the Eastern Prairies.

Strong winds around the Livingston/Nye area will cause blowing snow and poor visibility.

Another cold overnight is expected, with temperatures ranging from the teens below zero in Northeast Montana to slightly above zero in the mountain foothills.

Saturday and Sunday, expect highs only in the single digits above and below zero. A chance of snow redevelops late Sunday, with a chance of accumulating snow on Monday.

Even with a slight upturn in the temperatures by late next week, readings will stay below seasonal averages all week long.
