BILLINGS – An approaching cold front will usher in the coldest temperatures we’ve seen so far this winter.

Locally, expect daytime highs to plummet to the teens and single digits Sunday, with overnight lows falling below zero Sunday night. This cold snap will be with us well into the middle of next week.

Along with the polar express, we’ll see varying amounts of snowfall across the region. Winter Storm Warnings have been posted across much of Montana with heavier snowfall amounts expected to the north and west of Billings. Places like Cooke City could see 10 to 18 inches of snow.

Blowing snow will also be an issue in places like Judith Gap.

Winter Weather Advisories are posted for most of central, south central and southeast Montana and northern Wyoming. Expect frigid chill temps, along with 4 to 8 inches of blowing snow.
