If you like the sun, enjoy Friday.  If you want rain, Monday is for you.

Friday will be the warmest day in the near future, with afternoon readings hitting the 80s with some low 90s possible from Billings eastward.

More sun early Friday with clouds increasing form west-to-east in the afternoon.  Winds will be SW at 5 to 15 mph.

A cold front Friday evening will generate isolated showers and thunderstorms.  A few storms, especially west and north of Billings, have the potential for damaging winds.

Behind the front, Saturday afternoon temperatures will drop about 10 degrees compared to Friday.  Highs mainly in the 70s, but sunny.

Sunday is shaping up to be pleasant, with highs in the 70s to mid-80s.  But late Sunday, strong to severe storms will develop east of Billings toward the Dakotas.

Expect Monday to be cool and showery.

Billings forecast:

Friday… Sunny with areas of smoke.  About 87 for the high.  Sw wind 5-15 mph.

Friday night… Isolated evening storms. Partly cloudy and near 54 for a low.

Saturday… Sunny but cooler.  High around 76.
