At 629 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced 1.5 to
2 inches of rainfall in around 30 minutes over the warned area. Even
though the heavy rain has tapered off, previous heavy rainfall will
likely cause quick rises of streams, ditches and canals, along with
possible flooding of local streets early this evening. Be mindful of
water flowing over roadways and never try to cross a road with water
flowing over the top. Turn around don’t drown.
Flash flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of central Custer
County.
