LIBBY — An officer-involved shooting is being investigated in Lincoln County.
Lincoln County Sheriff Darren Short says law enforcement responded to a domestic disturbance with multiple weapons involved at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. While law enforcement was on scene the male allegedly involved in the disturbance was shot by law enforcement.
The male was taken by ambulance to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center before being flown to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the disturbance while an investigative team from the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and the Kalispell Police Department is investigating the officer-involved shooting.
The deputy involved has been placed on paid administrative leave until the investigation is completed,” Sheriff Short said in a news release.
