CNN – Professional basketball star Steph Curry has made good on his promise to a nine-year-old California girl.
It all started last fall when Riley Morrison wrote to Curry asking why his signature shoes were only sold in boy’s sizes. Riley plays basketball.

He wrote back, promising her change, and asking for her help with the design.
Earlier this week, Curry surprised Riley with her own pair of “United We Win” sneakers.
Friday night Riley was sitting courtside with her family sporting the new kicks.
Curry wore the special Curry 6 shoe during Friday night’s game against the Denver Nuggets in honor of International Women’s Day.
The shoes are on sale now and proceeds will go toward a scholarship for college-bound females in the Bay Area.
