CLEVELAND — Police in Ohio are investigating after a woman died after being thrown from a vehicle on the freeway.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified the woman who was pronounced dead after being thrown from a vehicle on Interstate 90 and taken to a nearby hospital.
The woman has been identified as 21-year-old Vannaisha Akins, according to the medical examiner.
The incident happened at 5 p.m. on I-90 near Carnegie Avenue. She was taken to MetroHealth where she was pronounced dead.
The incident is being investigated by the department's homicide unit.
