MISSOULA — The seventh annual Spooky Skate event on Sunday was held at Glacier Ice Rink in Missoula. About 200 people came out for the fun.

They were all dressed in their Halloween costumes to skate around the rink or to participate in different activities such as a costume contest and a photobooth with free Polaroid photos.

A figure skating class also performed to Michael Jackson's song "Thriller."

Laura Henning, the Executive Director for Glacier Ice Rink said she started this event to bring families out to have another excuse to wear their costumes besides out trick-or-treating.

Henning said, "I think a lot of people come to this that would not otherwise come, so its a good entry point before we hit the busy season. It gives people a reason to check us out and then keep coming through the rest of the winter."

The ice rink will be opening their outdoor rink next weekend and public skating is offered every weekend.
