ROUNDUP - Fire crews have contained a wildfire east of Roundup, officials said Friday.
The "Porcupine Fire" broke out in the Delphia area east of Roundup on Wednesday and destroyed three homes and several secondary structures. The wildfire was pushed by high winds that swept through the state on Wednesday and Thursday.
On Friday, the Musselshell County DES said in a Facebook post the wildfire has been 100 percent contained.
"Crews remained on scene overnight, a flare up occurred within the containment area due to the persistent wind conditions," states. "This flare up did not threaten any structures. Crews are currently working this area to put this fire out and to search for hotspots located within this area. It is expected that by the weekend crews will have this all mopped up."
