FLATHEAD COUNTY — Two people were killed in Flathead County Saturday evening according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at about 8 p.m. on Highway 2 at mile marker 101.
A Chevy Silverado was traveling west in the eastbound lane and a Dodge Dakota was traveling east in the appropriate lane. Both cars swerved in an attempt to avoid each other which resulted in a head on collision.
The driver of the Chevy, a 55-year-old Kalispell man, was injured and transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center
Both the driver of the Dodge, a 39-year-old male, and the passenger, a 32-year-old female, were killed. The two victims were not wearing seabelts and alcohol is suspected as a factor.
Their names have not been released.
