Police seeking public’s help in attempted kidnapping in eastern Montana

UPDATE – The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office was able to find and rule out a green Scion passenger car as a suspected vehicle in an attempted kidnapping in Jordan.

Authorities are still asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three Hispanic males riding in a green van.

Police say the near-abduction happened when three Hispanic males drove up in a green van and attempted to kidnap a child at a Jordan park.

Police in Rosebud, Bighorn, McCone, and Garfield Counties as well as the Montana Highway Patrol, are all investigating.

If you see this vehicle — you’re asked to write down a license plate and call the Garfield county sheriff’s office at 406-557-2540.

GARFIELD COUNTY – Sheriffs from several counties are asking the public for help in locating a vehicle and three men involved in an attempted kidnapping Friday afternoon in Jordan.

Three counties besides Garfield, McCone and Rosebud, each posted notices on Facebook seeking information.
