BELGRADE- President Donald Trump hammered away on familiar themes during his fourth visit to Montana on Saturday.

At a hangar at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport in Belgrade, Trump spoke for over an hour hitting on the economy, energy, and trade.

He once again stated the reason he’s back in Montana is personal: He’s angry at U.S. Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., for his role in questioning the qualification of Trump’s nominee to head the Department of Veterans Affairs, Admiral Ronny Jackson. Jackson eventually withdrew, and Tester, the ranking minority member of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee, threw his support behind Robert Wilkie, who was confirmed.

Trump was in Montana in support of Republicans Matt Rosendale, who is challenging Tester, and Congressman Greg Gianforte. Both gave brief talks during the rally.

Rosendale thanked the President for his focus on his race in Montana. Gianforte thanked Trump for “allowing me to be your lone voice from Montana in Washington”.

Trump told the crowd the U.S. economy is now the best ever.  He said he has ended the “war on coal” and claimed credit for coal miners getting back to work. Trump also took a jab at wind energy as being a reliable source of energy in the midst of a crisis, arguing that coal is the better baseline source for power.

Today’s rally in Belgrade is part of a campaign blitz by the president.  He will join up with Vice President Mike Pence for a rally in Pensacola, Fla. Saturday evening.
