Bozeman airport prepping for Trump rally

Posted

BELGRADE – Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is beefing up security and preparations for President Trump’s visit on Saturday.

The president is expected to arrive at the airport late morning with the rally expected to start at 12:30. Passengers flying in and out of Bozeman should expect about a 15-minute delay if arriving or departing during that time.

The airport is well equipped to support Air Force One, but Airport Director Brian Sprenger says that the biggest concern is managing traffic.

“With this event being at the east side of the airport off of Airport Road, that helps us a whole lot in separating passenger traffic from event traffic. So it’s one of those things where we recommend people to get to the airport.” Sprenger said.

The airport parking lot will not be used for people going to President Trump’s rally.
