BIG SKY – The Montana Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash Thursday afternoon on U.S. Highway 191 near Big Sky.
Officials said a pickup was traveling southbound at mile marker 50 around 12 p.m. when it ran off the road and ended up in the Gallatin River upside down.
The driver, a 41-year-old man from Belgrade, was pronounced dead on scene. The victim’s name has not been released at this time.
