KALISPELL - The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the man who died after being struck by falling rock in Glacier National Park.
The man was identified as 72-year-old Rex Schowengerdt from Missouri.
Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino said Schowengerdt died from his injuries on July 16 at Logan Health in Kalispell.
The incident occurred on July 11 at Rimrocks on Going-to-the-Sun Road, just below Logan Pass.
